Welcome to the Lake Cabin!

This page is for our family and friends who would like to stay at the Lake Cabin! It has lots of helpful info and a way to check date availability. We believe that time spent with loved ones away from our daily lives is essential to strong marriages and families and this Lake Cabin is the perfect place to do that! We especially believe this is a blessing is to be shared and we hope you will love the Lake Cabin as much as we do!

Directions

PLEASE NOTE!

  • You will loose cell service for about 15-20 minutes at the end of the drive.

  • You must print directions or know how to get there before you leave- you cannot rely on cell service for directions.

  • The last 3 miles are dirt road.

  • You will need 4WD or chains for winter/spring access.

Check Out Instructions

We have a Leave No Trace (of Food) Policy We have worked hard to get the Lake Cabin mouse free and would like to keep it that way.

  • Sweep Wood Floors

  • Take all your food home with you including non-perishables, refrigerated foods, condiments and especially perishables. Do not leave food for the next group, the only creatures that will thank you are the mice.

  • Do not leave any opened packages in the cupboard or pantry.

  • Refrigerator, cupboard and pantry should be clean and left with minimal basic items only.

  • Load the dishwasher. Please leave the sink clean and free from any food waste. Food waste should be thrown in the trash. Due to our septic system, the disposal may be used only for tiny residual food waste left in the sink from doing dishes.

  • Leave no crumbs. Please wipe down counters, table, chairs and stools.

Trash

  • All trash must leave with you.

  • Empty trash cans in all 3 bathrooms, garage and kitchen.

  • Trash can be dumped in the Walker Dumpsters at the Walker Fire Department on your way out.

    • You must download the app “Master Lock Vault” ahead of time to unlock the dumpsters.

    • THERE IS NO CELL SERVICE AT THE DUMPSTERS! Open the app to the correct locks before leaving the Cabin while you are on the wifi.

Close all windows and lock all doors.

If you Opted to have cleaners come after your Stay, this is all you have to do!

Thank you for cleaning! We hope that you have a wonderful time at the Lake Cabin! Clean up is not meant to detract from a great weekend. We do regular deeper cleanings, so please do not feel you need to do a professional job for the next group:) Use common sense and leave things as you found them and it will be all good!

If You Opted to clean, Please complete the following additional items:

Bedrooms

  • Vacuum Carpet

  • Re-make beds with clean sheets

  • Wash and Fold used sheets. Put them back in the closet of the room where they belong.

  • Put away air mattresses, sofa and Murphy bed.

  • Wipe down nightstands.

Bathrooms

  • Sanitize bathroom counters and toilet.

  • Clean showers/bathtubs.

  • Sweep floor.

Living Room/Garage

  • Wipe off couches with damp rag if necessary and replace cushions.

  • Wipe down game tables and coffee/side tables.

  • Vacuum and sweep.

  • Sweep fireplace if needed.
